Free parents’ evenings in kindergartens
The project supports parents of multilingual children growing up in Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland. Parents receive practical knowledge about language development and language support in interactive presentations in kindergartens.
The aim is to create a better understanding of language acquisition, provide concrete strategies for everyday life and promote dialogue between parents and teachers.
Contents of the lectures:
- Child language development – basics of language acquisition, everyday integrated language support, importance of reading aloud and rituals.
- Multilingualism – opportunities and challenges, dealing with language mixes, strategies for strengthening first and second languages.
- Digital media & language – the influence of digital services on language development, opportunities and risks, tips for healthy use.
- MIKA-D – explanation of the standardised test procedure, German support classes/courses and practical tips for supporting the child..
What you can expect:

- Realisation in presence to promote exchange directly on site
